Do you like firetrucks? Do you like Crosleys? You may enjoy the auction of a 1951 Crosley ladder truck from 2010 by Barrett-Jackson auctions. It went for $100,000. The amusement park ride was built by Overland Amusements of Lexington, Massachutsetts. You can watch the auction at the link below:

You really need to talk to Chris Custin, the historian for The Metropolitan Owners Club of America.

Chris has done extensive research on these amusement park fire engines. Why? Because after Crosley went out of business, the maker of the fire engines turned to the Metropolitan to provide the cabs. Chris has one of them himself.

It's a very interesting story.
